Our administration building, which will be located in the main entrance area, will provide a small office for the organization, a storage and maintenance area for our gardening equipment, and a work area for our participants, The work area will provide facilities for canning, dehydrating, vacuum packing, and possibly freeze drying produce from the gardens, orchard, and herb garden. Volunteers will hold regular classes on food preservation methods for those planning to use the work area. Little, if any, food storage will be available in the facility, but once the preservation work is done our participants should find it easy to store their foods at home. |
